Zhuan Xu, the leader of the ancient tribal alliance, one of the “Five Emperors”, one of the founders of Chinese humanity, grandson of the Huang Di (the Yellow Emperor), aided and abetted Shao Hao, and his fiefdom was in Gao Yang, so he was called the Gao Yang Shi. After Shao Hao’s death, Zhuan Xu defeated the Gong Gong Shi, which was vying for the throne, and became the head of the tribal alliance. During his reign, he strictly followed the policies of Emperor Xuan Yuan Huang Di, which led to social stability and peace, and created the Zhuanxu Calendar, one of the six ancient Chinese calendars. Zhuan Xu was regarded by the ancients as the emperor of water virtue, and was also known as “Xuan Di,” the heavenly emperor in charge of the northern part of the country in myth and legend.
