Gui Gu Zi is regarded as one of China’s ancient wonders and has been the subject of much controversy. He was a master of the heavens and the earth, taking into account the knowledge of several schools of thought, which was beyond the reach of ordinary people.
Gui Gu Zi, surnamed Wang Yan, also known as Wang Shan, was a native of Zhao Ge, State of Wei, at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. The age of his birth and death is unknown. Folk called Wang Shan Lao Zu. Because of his birthplace or hermitage for the Qingxi Guigu, often into the Yunmeng Mountain medicine cultivation, so called Mr. Gui Gu, the world called him Gui Gu Zi. Mr. Gui Gu Zi was one of the pre-Qin sages, a famous thinker, strategist, military strategist, educator, and a cross-dresser during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.
He was the originator and founder of the doctrine of vertical and horizontal, and his doctrine was later developed by his disciples, and together with the culturally derived Taoism, Confucianism, Mohism, Logicians, Legalists, Yin-Yang, Agriculturist, and sage, it was known as the Nine Streams and Ten Schools.
