Chinese Mythology: Gong Gong Touching the Mountain

Gong Gong, the god of water in ancient Chinese mythology, could control floods.

Gong Gong and Zhu Rong, the god of fire, did not get along, and after a great battle, Gong Gong lost and was so angry that he crashed into Buzhou Mountain, a pillar between heaven and earth.

This story is one of the Four Great Myths of Ancient China, along with the story of Nu Wa mending the sky, Hou Yi shooting at the sun, and Chang E running to the moon.
