When Fu Xi grew up, he saw a spider weaving a web and invented fishing nets to catch fish and birds. He also invented cooked food.
Missing his mother, Fu Xi climbed up the Heavenly Ladder to visit her. The Heavenly Emperor made him the ruler of Huaxi country, the king of the human world.
After marriage, Lei Shen became a protective god of Huaxi country under the influence of his wife.
The image of Lei Shen is constantly evolving, and only later did it gradually turn into a sharp-tongued, monkey-faced image and gradually become stereotyped.
In Taoist mythology, there are a large number of Lei Shen of various levels, the lowest level is the “Lei Gong”, the upper level is the ordinary “Lei Shen”, and then the upper level is the “Lei Wang(Thunder King)”.
