There was a goddess named Nu Wa who was so powerful that she could change seventy times a day. One day, she was walking in the wilderness and felt lonely, wanting to add some life to the world. She saw herself in a pool of water and suddenly thought: why not create creatures like herself?

So she made a little thing out of yellow clay, put it on the ground, and it came to life and called her “mom”! Nu Wa was so happy that she named the creature “Human”.

Nu Wa continued her work and made many little people. They jumped and laughed around her, and she was very happy. But the earth was too big and she was too tired, so she came up with an idea: she stirred up mud with withered vines and swept it out, and when the mud fell to the ground, it became little people.

In this way, the earth was soon covered with humans. But Nu Wa thought, people will die, what should we do? In the end, she made the little people male and female, and created their own offspring. From then on, human beings were passed on from generation to generation and became more and more numerous.
